Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-25
This is an English translation of the Swedish privacy policy. If the two differ, the Swedish version applies.
The short version: you enter details about your training and food to get something out of the app. We store it for you, we do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. You can export and delete everything yourself.
Who is responsible
Become Elite, organisation number 981110-0974, is the data controller. Contact: [email protected].
What we store
- Account: your username and an encrypted form of your password. We do not ask for an e-mail address or phone number.
- Body and goals: sex, date of birth, height, weight, activity level, goals, measurements and check-ins.
- Food and training: what you log, such as meals, workouts, sets, weights, records, notes and templates.
- Documents: meal and training plans you upload yourself as PDF or image. They are kept in a private folder that only your account can reach.
- Subscription: which tier you have, the period, the renewal date and Stripe's customer and subscription numbers. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- In your browser: your sign-in, your language and your theme are saved on your device. We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics.
Meal photos you take are not stored by us. The photo is sent for analysis and is only used to answer your request.
Why, and on what basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Running your account and the app's features | Contract with you |
| Data about your health, such as weight, food and training | Your consent, which you give when you enter it and can withdraw by deleting it or your account |
| Handling payments and bookkeeping | Contract and legal obligation. Payment records are kept for as long as the Swedish Accounting Act requires, normally seven years |
| Preventing abuse and errors | Legitimate interest |
Who helps us
We use these as data processors, and they may only process the data on our behalf:
- Supabase: stores your account and your data and handles sign-in. The database is in the EU (Frankfurt).
- Stripe: takes payments and manages the subscription.
- Anthropic: analyses meal photos when you ask it to. The photo and your language setting are sent, not your name or username.
- Open Food Facts: an open food database we search in. Only search terms or a barcode are sent there, with no information about you.
- Cloudflare and Render: run the website and our food server. They see technical details such as your IP address when you use the app.
Some of these are in the United States. Transfers there rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on to others for marketing.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept as long as you have an account. If you delete the account in the app, under Profile, the account and all your data are removed. The exception is payment records we must keep by law.
Your rights
- Access and portability: in the app you can export all your data as a file (Profile → Export and backup).
- Correction: you can change your details in the app.
- Deletion: you can delete the account yourself in the app.
- Restriction and objection: get in touch and we will help you.
- Complaints: you can contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se) if you think we handle your data incorrectly.
Write to [email protected] with your username if you want help with any of this.
Changes
If we change the policy in a significant way we will tell you in the app. The latest version is always on this page. See also the terms.
